Transport Roundtable Australasia aims to promote research and exchange of knowledge in the transport sector. In particular, TRA provides education, training and consulting services in the specialist areas of transport strategy, policy, management and operations including intelligent transport systems (ITS).

The principals, Professor Phil Charles and Philip Sayeg, have extensive experience in transport strategy and policy development, road safety and traffic management, institutional development, ITS, public transport and transport planning in Australasia and internationally.

Since TRA's establishment in 1999, several transport conferences and workshops have been held in Australia. Workshops have also been run in Hong Kong and Dubai.

TRA has undertaken several significant consulting assignments related to the global market for ITS.

TRA also prepares specialist newsletters and magazines on transport and ITS in joint venture with others and on behalf of client organisations.
