Brief Biography

David Burden is the CEO of Legion Interactive and founder of Legion Wireless Media. His career in the commercialisation of information services spans 12 years. David has been elected to a number of advisory panels including ACIF, TISSC and PRAC. He is also a member of ITS Australia, the Australian Direct Marketing Association, the WAP, Bluetooth and Voice XML forums. Legion is active in the development of ITS applications for clients, these include the first real-time traffic information services on SMS and WAP devices and the implementation of Australia's first Telematics Voice portal specifically for motorists. With 13 years experience in Interactive Voice Response Systems and avalanche call handling David's current focus is on developing intelligent speech recognition enabled voice portals for mobile users. Now a resident of Sydney, David studied Mechanical Engineering (Automotive) at Melbourne University and RMIT. Legion is a sponsor of the 8th World ITS Congress.
