Brief Biography

Paul Higgins began his career in traffic management in 1971 within the operations section of the Brisbane City Council Traffic and Planning Branch. During the period of his employment from 1971 until 1989 he was involved in the installation and testing of a range of microcomputer traffic controllers and minicomputer network control systems. In 1989 he started Excel Infotech Pty Ltd which evolved into Excel Technology Group Pty Ltd. As Director of Research and Development at Excel he has planned and managed the application of engineering resources to facilitate the successful development of products and system solutions for road based traffic engineering problems.
