Brief Biography

Gerard Reardon was awarded a Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 1987, a Masters of Engineering Science in 1997 and a Graduate Diploma in Management in 1999. In October 2000, Gerard was appointed Project Manager of the Cooperative Road Management Project, with the Queensland Department of Main Roads. This project is delivering a range of initiatives that support development of a network of co-operative road management centres across South East Queensland. Gerard formerly held the positions of Specialist Transport Planner (Major Projects) and Principal, Traffic Demand Management with the Brisbane City Council. While at Brisbane City Council his responsibilities involved coordinating planning of major public transport infrastructure and operational management of Brisbane city's major road network including its traffic signal system and traffic management centre. Between 1988 and 1993, Gerard worked as a consulting traffic engineer with the Tod Group.
