Brief Biography

Dennis Walsh completed his Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 1986 and his Masters of Engineering Science in 1991. Upon graduation he commenced work with Ove Arup and Partners where he worked on a number of projects in the Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne offices. In 1990, he joined the Brisbane City Council Kerbside Management Review as the Project Engineer. Dennis then joined the Queensland Department of Transport in August 1991 where he worked on a wide range of road use management and safety issues. From June 1995 to February 2000, Dennis managed the Speed Management Project for Queensland Transport. Dennis joined the Queensland Department of Main Roads in February 2000. He is now responsible for the provision of policies, services and standards in the areas of Network Operations and Performance and ITS Infrastructure.
